German University in Cairo Scholarships in Egypt 2022-2023 is now open for students to apply for a free scholarship to study in Egypt.

GUC Scholarships List:

Program One: Top Ranking National Matriculation Student Scholarship

• About the first high school students at the national level.

Second Program: High School Scholarship and Equivalent Certificates

• For the highest secondary rank either and holders of equivalent foreign certificates (IGCSE, Abitur, American Diploma)

Third Program: Nile Basin Scholarship

• Scholarships for students of African countries located on the Nile Basin – in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Fourth Program: First Egyptian Governorate Students Scholarship

• 54 Scholarships for the highest-ranking Egyptian students from public schools from 27 different governorates to study in one of the various disciplines at the German University in Cairo.

Fifth Program: The Syrian Refugee Scholarship Program for a Master’s Degree

• 10 scholarship opportunities for young Syrians currently residing in Egypt and registered as refugees through UNHCR to study a two-year master’s program in the fields of engineering or management technology.

Submission conditions:

To apply, the following conditions must be met:

• The applicant must pass the GUC admission tests.
• For colleges of applied sciences, arts or architecture, passing a aptitude test is a must.
• Scholarship holders must register for the full semester of a regular student as per the curricula of study programmes.
• Students must graduate within the minimum required graduation period for each study group.
• Applicants must comply with all German University in Cairo bylaws and regulations, in addition to the German University in Cairo housing regulations.
• Students who receive scholarships will retain a scholarship as long as their overall GPA is better than 3.00 (C).

Required files:

• High School certificate.
• Original birth certificate.
• 6 recent passport-sized photos (no more than 1 year old).
• Military Service Form (Form 2 Gond) for Egyptian students only.

Notes :

It is always advisable to apply early to improve your chances of getting highly competitive admission to GUC:

• The student must complete the application online.
• After filling out the online application, the student will receive the application number.
• Once the student has filled out the online application form, they will receive an email “Admission Test Invitation Email.”
• The student will receive confirmation of the date and time of their test session.
• The student should follow the instructions written in the test confirmation email very carefully.
